Car carrier was caught in storm Zoltan while berthed at car terminal along Ems river, outside inner port in Emden. She broke off her moorings and started drifting in the river. Tugs were quickly deployed to assist and avoided vessel being involved in a serious accident. She was berthed in new inner harbor safely.
A crew member suffered a cardiac arrest in the engine control room when the ship was in the outer port of Emden, Germany. The local fire brigade, supported by volunteer forces from Larrelt and Twixlum, assisted in a difficult recovery. The man was then taken to hospital.
