Evergreen Container Tracking & Ship Tracker
Track Evergreen containers through the carrier’s cargo tracking service and find Evergreen container ships by vessel name, IMO number or MMSI.
Evergreen Container Tracker
Use Evergreen’s cargo tracking service to check shipment information associated with an Evergreen container or shipping reference.
Track an Evergreen Container
Container and cargo tracking is provided through Evergreen’s external ShipmentLink service.
The external tracking service may request a container number, bill of lading number, booking reference or another shipment identifier. Available information depends on the shipment and the data provided by the carrier.
Ship-Tracker.org does not operate Evergreen’s cargo tracking system. Container status and shipment information displayed by the external service are provided and maintained by the respective carrier or service provider.
Find Evergreen Container Ships
Container tracking and vessel tracking are different. If you are looking for an Evergreen ship rather than an individual container, search the Ship-Tracker.org vessel database.
You can search for a vessel by ship name, IMO number, MMSI or call sign where the information is available in our vessel database.
Vessel pages may include identification details, ship characteristics and publicly available tracking information. AIS availability varies by vessel, coverage area and the availability of public transmissions.
About Evergreen Marine
Evergreen Marine is one of the major names in international container shipping. The company was founded in 1968 and developed an extensive liner shipping network connecting important ports and trading regions around the world.
Its container shipping operations connect markets across Asia, Europe, North America, South America and other regions through scheduled liner services and associated shipping networks.
Evergreen vessels are part of the global container transport system that moves manufactured products, consumer goods, industrial cargo, materials and other containerized freight between ports.
Evergreen Container Tracking Explained
Container Number
A container number identifies an individual freight container and can be used by supported carrier systems to retrieve shipment information.
Bill of Lading
A bill of lading reference may be used to identify a shipment and retrieve associated transport information where supported.
Booking Reference
Carrier booking information can connect cargo with the relevant transport booking and planned shipping movement.
Scheepsinformatie
Once the carrying vessel is known, its IMO number provides a permanent identifier that can help distinguish it from similarly named or renamed ships.
Container Tracking vs. Vessel Tracking
Container Tracking
Container tracking follows the logistics information associated with cargo. Depending on the carrier and shipment, this may include transport milestones, loading or discharge events, ports and planned movements.
A container tracking result should not automatically be interpreted as a continuously updated GPS position of the physical container.
Vessel Tracking
Vessel tracking follows the ship carrying cargo. Public ship positions commonly rely on AIS transmissions received by terrestrial or satellite networks.
AIS positions can be delayed, incomplete or temporarily unavailable and should not be used for navigation or other safety-critical decisions.
IMO Numbers, MMSI and Ship Names
Large container ships can change names, operators, flags or other operational details during their service lives. This can make vessel identification by name alone difficult.
The IMO number is particularly useful because it is intended to remain associated with a ship throughout its lifetime. Ship-Tracker.org therefore uses the IMO number as the primary permanent identifier for vessels in its database.
MMSI numbers and call signs provide additional identification information, but these can change under certain circumstances.
Evergreen Ships and International Trade
Container shipping connects manufacturers, exporters, importers, ports and distribution networks across international trade routes. Liner shipping companies operate scheduled services between ports, allowing standardized containers to move efficiently between ships, terminals, rail networks and road transport.
Evergreen’s fleet forms part of this worldwide system. Individual vessels may operate on different services over time, and fleet composition can change as ships are delivered, transferred, chartered, renamed or withdrawn from service.
For that reason, Ship-Tracker.org uses vessel-specific records rather than relying on an old static fleet table.
Evergreen Tracking FAQ
How can I track an Evergreen container?
Use Evergreen’s external cargo tracking service and enter the shipment identifier requested by the carrier, such as a container number or other supported reference.
Can I track an Evergreen ship on Ship-Tracker.org?
You can search the Ship-Tracker.org vessel database by ship name, IMO number, MMSI or call sign where corresponding vessel information is available.
Is container tracking the same as AIS ship tracking?
No. Container tracking follows shipment and logistics information, while AIS vessel tracking relates to publicly transmitted ship position and identification data.
Does container tracking show the exact GPS position of my container?
Not necessarily. Carrier tracking commonly reports logistics events and shipment status. The information available depends on the carrier, route, equipment and shipment.
Why is an Evergreen vessel not visible on a tracking map?
AIS reception depends on vessel transmissions, receiver coverage and data availability. A vessel may therefore temporarily have no current publicly available position.
What is the best identifier for an Evergreen ship?
The IMO number is generally the most reliable permanent identifier for an individual seagoing vessel because ship names and other operational details can change.
